Yabluniv - Deliatyn: the long-awaited repairs will start tomorrow
"PBS" road company will start repairing the road O-09-08-02, Yabluniv - Deliatyn, on June 23. The works will start from the village of Zaritchia. The machinery is being transferred to the working site, in order to start milling in the morning.
"The asphalt is heavily damaged, there are places where it's missing completely. The water drainage is nearly non-existing, streams flow along the road when it rains", - Mykola Serhiychuk, chief engineer at "PBS".
Due to the poor state of Yabluniv - Deliatyn road, protests were common among the local people. On June 1st, 2018, residents of the adjoining villages were blocking the traffic for 11 days - in Deliatyn and Stopchativ, demanding repairs of the road..
The "PBS" company has repaired a single kilometer of this road in Yabluniv last year. Due to lack of funding, repairs had to be postponed until next year. A few months ago, Oleksandr Shevchenko announced the repairs to be scheduled to start on June 20. He kept his word. Despite the fact additional funds were allocated by regional state administration, there are are still not enough means to repair the entire road .
