Vasyl Budzhak: For three years, a lot of work has been done, still more ahead
The Ivano-Frankivsk region Road Service recently inspected the road H-10, Ivano-Frankivsk - Sniatyn. Two years have passed since this highway was repaired by PBS company. The road remains in a good condition.
During the inspection, the head of the Road Service shared his thought on Euro-Carpathian region development strategy, reconstruction of the Carpathian roads in particular. The roads of the highest priority are national importance ones, then regional, then territorial.
"According to the plan, we expect full recovery of the roads of our region to finish in 7-8 years. We started in the fall of 2015, over the last three years, a large amount of work has been done, however, still even more remains. I understand the fact people generally doesn't care about those roads, which have already been repaired elsewhere, everyone just wants to see repairs come to their village, but we're unable to do all at once", - Vasyl Budzhak, head of the Ivano-Frankivsk region Road Service.
On August 6, residents of Kosiv district villages came to protest, blocking the state importance road of Stryi - Mamalyga in the village of Zabolotiv. They demanded road repairs of T-09-09, Sniatyn - Kosiv - Stari Kuty, and T-09-04, Ozeriany - Rozhniv. Vasyl Budzhak states though, that during last three years Kosiv district's roads received enough attention.
"The district now boasts excellent roads from Kosiv to Kryvorivnia, from Kosiv to Stopchativ, from Kosiv to Kuty. Those are almost seventy kilometers of high quality roads. Even though the Sniatyn - Kosiv - Kuty road is a territorial importance road, a huge part of it from Kosiv to Kuty has already been repaired. Now two district centers remain to be connected - Kosiv and Sniatyn", - Vasyl Budzhak.
In addition, the infamous Kosiv bridge will be completed this year by PBS, the one that was swept away by the flood 10 years ago. Two more bridges are expected to be finished soon, in Sivka Voinylivska and Bodnariv.
