In the village of Kid'osh, Berehovo district, road repairs are complete. Asphalt concrete layer has been arranged there.
"As promised, we've strengthened the road base. Unfortunately, due to lack of funding, we've managed to complete only a half-kilometer section. In addition to restoration of the old road pavement, crushed stone was delivered, which helped to reinforce the road to some extend. The edges were also strengthened to prevent breakage", - Ihor Pysmennyi, road master at PBS.
Works were also carried out on improving water drainage - cuvettes were excavated along the renovated section. Independent experts determined the elasticity module of asphalt concrete using the static load method. The road successfully withstood a 10-ton load, remaining the same as before the tests.
According to the project, more than 8 kilometers of the regional significance road О-07-01-07, Berehovo - Zatyshne - Kid'osh, should be repaired. Due to limited funding, PBS workers managed to complete the work partially with only 0.5 kilometers being repaired. As soon as additional funding is transferred, the works will continue.
Local residents are pleased. This is what road masters have to say: "We enjoyed working in Berehovo district. People are so friendly here. They were greatly interested in our work, treated us with tasty fruits from their gardens."
The repairs of Berehovo - Badalovo - Vary - Borzhava and Svaliava - Mukachevo roads are underway concurrently.
