Yabluniv - Deliatyn road: the repairs continue. The repairs are underway in Liuchky village, Kosiv district.
"We are now loosening up the old road surface and restoring the road profile. There is almost no old asphalt here, grass grows in the middle of the road. We will strengthen the road base, by adding a gravel pillow", - Volodymyr Bygar, executive director of PBS.
Previously, PBS road-builder restored the cuvettes, providing effective water drainage. Lower layer of asphalt concrete has been already installed on 16 kilometers of the road, from Zarichchia through Oslava to Liuchky. Due to insufficient funding, major repairs had to be temporarily suspended. But the locals refused to let is all go and gathered to protest again. Recently they blocked the regional state administration officials in their offices, demanding the works to be continued.
"It was agreed that the repairs will continue starting September 25th. So they did. PBS machinery arrived, and the brigade started to work right away. As for the money, we've been paid for the already repaired 16 kilometers of the road. For what we are grateful. We're now continue to work in advance and hope that money for this work will also be allocated", - PBS officials.
Currently, the milling is being carried out of a single traffic lane of the road. Tomorrow we'll start laying down the new road base.
