PBS is preparing the roads for winter season
PBS road-builders are preparing for the winter period. On roads that are in the maintenance of the company, special road signs are being installed indicating limited visibility, potential slippery areas, etc. On ascents and descents areas anti-icing mixture has already appeared. Currently, PBS workers are installing signaling milestones.
"Outside of settlements in poor visibility areas we put signaling landmarks. This is done so that drivers can see the edges of the road and avoid sliding to cuvettes during snowstorms. We set up milestones every 100 meters", - says Petro Dubitskyi, road master at PBS.
For tomorrow, October 23, weather forecasters do predict unfavorable weather conditions. You should expect snow in the mountains. Still PBS workers have no worries. It is said that low temperature is not to be expected, the soil still holds the summer heat, thus snow, if it appears, is not going to stay on the roads for a long time.
