Transcarpathia: instead of H-09, funds are assigned to lower priority projects
In Transcarpathia, the strategically important route of national significance H-09 Mukachevo - Lviv is fading away. Apart from some lesser fragments, previously repaired by "PBS", the entire road is in terrible condition. However, instead of repairing the road as soon as possible, funds are being allocated to repair the lower priority roads. Moreover, the earlier approved contract with the tender-winning "PBS" company, might be terminated.
"PBS" is the only company in Ukraine giving a ten-year warranty on their repairs. In Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, through which the H-09 also passes, the coating is in perfect condition. In 2015, those segments were repaired by the "PBS" company. Any defects, if discovered, are eliminated at the company's expense. As for today, the Ukrainian authorities owe "PBS" 400 million UAH for completed repairs all over the country.
Oleksandr Shevchenko has officially addressed the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman with a request to allocate funds in order to complete the repairs of the national significance road H-09. According to the People's Deputy, there is an ever-increasing level of social tension in the region, as tourists and investors simply bypass this land due to impassability.
