Technologies used by "PBS" discussed at a road-building seminar

"PBS" employees participated in an all-Ukrainian road-building workshop "Modern Technologies for Winter Road Maintenance".

Winter road maintenance and resolving sIeet issues were the highlights of discussion at a road-building seminar held in Ivano-Frankivsk. The event was attended by representatives of road services and scientists from all over the country.

According to scientists of the State Research Institute of the State Research Institute, salt is used to clear roads from snow in a number of European countries such as Germany, Sweden and Norway. In particular, the roads are treated with salt before snowfalls. This is exactly what the Bukovelian company "PBS" has been doing for two years already.

“We, like the leading European countries, treat the roads not just with pure salt, but with soaked salt and concentrated solvents. Two years ago we purchased special equipment units for this exact purpose - dissolvers from Schmidt, the Europe's leading manufacturer. Directly from the production facility, solvents are transported to destinations, filled into dissolver tanks and applied with high precision. It is pleasant to admit that we set an example for other Ukrainian companies and the industry is slowly moving away from using sand/salt mixtures”, - said Yaroslav Lytvyniuk, participant of the seminar, foreman of "PBS".

The side themes of discussion were upcoming budget code changes, road maintenance regulations and contract validity terms. "PBS" employees of are ready for the winter season, in particular, the Bukovelian company has already purchased a number of modern machinery units, which will improve the quality of maintenance of our local highways.
