М-19: main repair works completed
The main works on the road M-19 DOMANOVE - KOVEL - CHERNIVTSI - TEREBLECHE near the Ukrainian - Romanian border have been completed. The area of operations is km 536+918 - km 542+018 in the Chernivtsi region. Here, the upper asphalt concrete SMA-20 layer has been arranged.
The right traffic lane, designed for heavy transport downtime, has been widened and strengthened. The base was strengthened using the cold recycling regeneration technology and a layer of concrete mix was arranged. Geotextile grid was also applied for additional reinforcement.
On the left lane, the base was regenerated using the cold recycling technology. Geotextile grid was applied for additional reinforcement.
On both lanes there are two asphalt concrete layers ready - lower coarse-grained and upper SMA. The lanes will be separated with barrier fencing.
The illumination has been already installed alongside the road. We are waiting for the permission from the public utilities to plug-in. New road markings we will be applied soon.
Meanwhile, sidewalks and bus stops are being constructed in Terebleche.
