The road surface profile is being lowered on the road H-09 Mukachevo-Lviv between villages Trostianets and Yasinia, Rakhiv district. What does it mean? We're making the road 1.5 meters lower. Why? The thing is that railway tracks pass over the road. The distance between the bridge surface and the roadway is 4.5 meters, which doesn't allow for heavier truck traffic. The only way out is to make a detour via the M-06 Kyiv-Chop highway, which adds in a few extra hours of travel.
The "PBS" team is lowering this section of the road in two spots. Currently, work is underway under the first bridge at km 190+390. We're digging a pit up to two meters deep and eliminating the road surface defects. Next, we will cover the base with oversized stone, followed by a layer of gravel-sand mixture C-5, then another layer of C-7. The road base will then be reinforced using the cold recycling technology. The next step will be to arrange a 10-centimeter coarse-grained asphalt concrete layer and a 5-centimeter SMA layer.
Simultaneously, we're cleaning the overgrown bushes, adjusting the drainage system, deepening the drainage pipes and installing the rainwater drainage trays. We also strengthen the banks of the Tysa river by building retaining walls.
