The "PBS" company offers a more efficient approach to road repairs in Transcarpathian region
The "PBS" company is looking forward to repair the roads of regional importance, Yasinya - Chorna Tysa and Beregovo - Badalovo - Vary - Borzhava. Our specialists have studied the Terms of Reference and conducted their own research of the project. After the matter was carefully studied, it turned out the technology was unreliable and had numerous risks involved.
"As we were executing our previous tenders in Transcarpathia, we had already been suspecting that the technology offered by the customer was unreliable. It was nearly impossible though to offer a better option in a short time we had that remained of the auction being open. After winning the tender, we invited profile institutes specialists to do some research, in particular, from State Road Research Institute and Kharkiv National Motor-Road University. The specialists conducted the necessary studies, which showed in fact that the construction offered by the customer design, simply didn't comply with the standards", - says Oleksiy Pasternak, director of "PBS".
The "PBS" company has offered the most optimal repairing option for Cat. 3-4 roads. The main thing is, base strengthening is mandatory to perform. Otherwise, the road won't last long. Due to this extra option, the project expenses will increase by 10%, but the result is totally worth it.
The customer got acquainted with the improvements, provided by the research group. There were no objections. According to the agreement, "PBS" will assist with technical documentation, then immediately proceed to repairs. The first road on the list is Yasinya - Chorna Tysa; the repairs will be carried out simultaneously at Berehovo - Badalovo - Vary - Borzhava working site. The detailed schedule will be published later.
